Update COVID 19 at Dell Quay Sailing Club

Dear Members,

COVID -19 arrangements from 23rd March

I am sure that you will already be aware of the latest arrangements that came into effect on the evening of Monday 23 March 202, but just in case, here’s a reminder

You should only leave the house for one of four reasons:

  • Shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible.
  • One form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household.
  • Any medical need, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person.
  • Travelling to and from work, but only where this absolutely cannot be done from home.

These four reasons are exceptions - even when doing these activities, you should be minimising time spent outside of the home and ensuring you are 2 metres apart from anyone outside of your household.

In light of these new restrictions, the GC would urge you do not come to the Club for any reason at this time.  This will be reviewed by the GC as soon as the government instructions change.

These are very difficult times for the country and if we can do even a little bit to support the national effort to control the spread of this virus, then it will be worth it.

Look after yourselves and your loved ones.
