Further to discussions with the UK Laser Class Association the following amendment to the 2010 Sailing Instructions has been made:
Remove paragraph
17.3 Changing Rigs. A Laser helm may count results gained using full, radial or 4.7 rigs as one entry in any series. Other classes of boat, including Laser 2000s, which may sail with a different handicap using a different rig or sail configuration, cannot combine results gained with different rigs or sail configurations. Their results will count as separate entries in a series.
Replace with
17.3 Changing Rigs. Boats changing rigs or sail configuration during a series can combine results gained with different rigs or sail configurations but positions will be calculated using the faster handicap or they will constitute a separate entry.
