gdprIn order to comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into force on 25 May 2018, Dell Quay Sailing Club has produced a new Privacy Policy which explains how we collect, store and handle personal data.  It can be found here.

Like many other organisations, we need to obtain Members’ consent for some of our data processing activities.  However, unlike many other consent requests you may be receiving, we are asking that every member provides consent by completing the attached form and returning to the club.  We are asking for this as we feel this is the only way that we can be 100% sure that we have consent from every single member.

consentTherefore, we require each and every member of Dell Quay Sailing Club aged 13 or over complete and sign a copy of the attached GDPR Consent Form.

For Juniors under 13, GDPR requires consent from whoever holds parental responsibility.  Please note, this is unlikely to be the grandparent within the same club membership of the Junior.  Therefore, for all Juniors under 13, we require a parent or legal guardian to complete and sign a copy of the attached GDPR Parental Consent Form.

All forms should be returned to Graham Causer by one of the following means:

There are blank forms available in a GDPR Consent Form envelope attached to the Members noticeboard at the clubhouse, between the main entrance doors and the bar.

Please help us to comply with this legal requirement by completing and returning the necessary forms before 25 May 2018.  There will be further communications about this as we approach the GDPR date, including e-news reminders and an article with more information in the next issue of Quay News, due later this month.
