Cruiser Supper

2nd March 2019

We originally planned this event last November, but on the day Billy Taylor the speaker had to rush off to deal with a family emergency when his son was taken ill.

We are very pleased that we have been able to secure Billy for another attempt on Saturday March 2nd.

The event is being held to support the charity for Young Onset Parkinson's Disease, with guest speaker Billy, one of the rowers taking part in the Indian Ocean Challenge.

The Challenge

In June 2018, four British men rowed their way into the record books by becoming the fastest four-man crew to row the Indian Ocean, while also conducting a research project that has the potential to redefine Parkinson's disease and raise £200,000 for their chosen charities.

Their Motivation

To raise awareness and funds for Young Onset Parkinson's Disease. The crew want to improve and build the support network for those diagnosed with Parkinson's at a young age, while

promoting the benefits of exercise and healthy living as a way of improving the symptoms associated with Parkinson's.

The evening meal will be a chicken curry provided by Roy Dyton who also prepared the last feast.
