Sunday Fundays get off to a brilliant start
22 juniors arrived for the first Sunday Funday of 2025 on Sunday 11th May. Most were sailing but four had opted for paddling. It was a gorgeous, sunny day with a good breeze. New rowing boat
The club have just added to their fleet of rowing boats and purchased a second hand Hartford 18 called Firefly. Firefly is a fixed seat scull (each rower has two oars) and can take from one to three rowers plus a cox. The boat is very light and can be easily managed by a smaller / lighter crew. Powerboat Refresher session
The DQSC RYA Training Centre are offering some power boat refresher sessions in May and June. Dell Quay Rowers escort Major Mick

VE Day at Dell Quay Sailing Club
DQSC hosted a delightful evening of celebration and commemoration on 8th May, with 90 people, dressed in 1940s finery or patriotic red, white and blue! This included club members, our Dell Quay neighbours and people from the Apuldram Parish. Saturday 26 April 2025 Early Helm 3 and 4 Sixteen racers competed where all classes share the same start as a Handicap fleet. The wind was a light 5 knots from the east and difficult for Race Officer, Bruce Dupée, to set a good windward mark but he laid a mark east of Hook. Early Helm 1 & 2 Race Report
Saturday 12th of April The first two races of the Early Helm series. The wind was a chilly stubborn easterly gusting 8- 14 knots but the sun was shining and the sky was blue!
