Introduction the DQ25 Lottery

What is the DQ250?

DQ250 is a simple Lottery.

The DQ250 Lottery is a way in which members of DQSC can enhance future activities (sailing, juniors, club boats, patrol boats etc) of the club as well as contributing to the everyday maintenance of the club.

• 50% of ticket sales go straight back to members as prizes
• 50% helps fund improvements and club activities

Play responsibly

The DQ250 is a lottery please take part responsibly and within your means.

Who can take part?

• You must be a current DQSC member.
• You must be 18 or over.
• The lottery is run in line with the UK Gambling Act 2005.
• It's all for the benefit of the club- no raised money will be used for anything other than supporting DQSC.

Draw details

• Buy tickets by 23:59 on the 20th of the month of the draw.
• As you have to be a member to be a participant, tickets cannot be bought for months outside the current calendar year
• Pay via bank transfer or standing order direct to the club's bank account (account 30-91-97 - 02432780) using the reference: DQ250.
• Draws take place last Friday of each month at the clubhouse.
• You don't have to be there to win, but it's always more fun if you are!
• Every third month there will be a bonus draw.
• All results are final.

Winning numbers will be:

• Announced on the night
• Shared in eNews

How much does it cost and how to enter

• £10 per ticket - Buy as many as you like per month.
• Tickets are NOT refundable
• To qualify for the bonus draw, you need to have tickets in all of the precious three months standard draws.

What can you win?

Each month's prize pot is shared like this:

• 1st Prize - 15%
• 2nd Prize - 10%
• 3rd Prize - 7.5%
• 17.5% is saved for the bonus prize every third month

Example:

If 50 tickets are sold: Prize pot = £250

• 1st: £75
• 2nd: £50
• 3rd: £37.50

Bonus Prize (every third month)

• Built from contributions across three months
• Only those who played all three months are eligible for the bonus

Example:

With 50 tickets per month, the bonus could reach £262.50, (£87.50 * 3) There may also be extra donated prizes,a lovely surprise when available!

Buying tickets

• Tickets are sold monthly or up to 12 months in advance (i.e. Jan to Dec)
• Each ticket is emailed to you as a PDF, so please make sure your email address is up to date (My Profile). Why not check phone and other details too.
• Late payments, after the 20th of the month, will be entered into the next month.

How does it work?

It's nice and simple:

1. Buy one or more tickets
2. Each ticket gets a unique number
3. You're entered into the next monthly draw
4. Every third month includes a Bonus Draw

Prize payments

• Paid within 5 working days
• Sent via bank transfer (BACS)
• No cash payments

If bank details are missing:

• You will receive a request by email from the treasurer for your bank details.
• Prizes are held for 3 months.
• After that, funds return to the club.

Payments & queries

• Prize payments are handled by the Treasurer
• If something doesn't seem right, you can raise a written query within 7 days of the draw
• The General Committee has the final say

Responsibilities

While we do our best to keep everything running smoothly, the club can't be held responsible for:

• Technical or banking hiccups
• Late or missed entries
• Any indirect losses

Whos running DQ250?

The DQ250 is managed by a small team of club members:

They also handle all the official paperwork with the local licensing authority.

Changes (just in case!)

The club may update, pause, or stop the lottery if needed, but we'll always keep members informed.
