Sunday Fundays get off to a brilliant start

22 juniors arrived for the first Sunday Funday of 2025 on Sunday 11th May. Most were sailing but four had opted for paddling.

It was a gorgeous, sunny day with a good breeze. The club was buzzing with juniors, instructors, racers (early trophy) and rowers!

Junior lead, Kim Foster said: "Weve got a great mixture of abilities signed up today. Some beginners, some juniors working towards RYA stages 2 and 3 plus a racing group lead by race coach, Nick Pearson."

Five instructors assisted the juniors, from Senior Instructors to some of our newly qualified adult Assistant Instructors. Lead rower Richard Bland accompanied the paddlers. The machine that is Sunday Fundays is impressive to see in action and out thanks go to all those who helped on the day.

A massive well done to our juniors for getting out on the water, especially those who hadnt sailed for a while and were feeling a bit nervous. We hope you enjoyed it.
